|---|---|
Tab a | Apply the selected stash, keeping it |
Tab D | Drop it, after confirmation |
Space g r | Refresh, keeping the selected stash |
Creating a stash uses a command that names its scope:
| Command | Effect |
|---|---|
:git-stash-tracked <name> | Records the tracked worktree and index, leaving staged changes applied |
:git-stash-all <name> | Records the same tracked state, and clears both worktree and index |
:git-stash-untracked <name> | Additionally includes untracked files |
- Every create, apply, and drop asks for confirmation.
- Create and apply are refused while the repository has unsaved editor buffers.
- An apply conflict keeps the stash. Open
Space g cto inspect unmerged stages and review supported saved-file resolutions; unsupported structural or submodule cases can still use an external Git tool. Resolving does not remove the retained stash.
